Our Mission

Shikanoko Networks (also known as SKNK, at sknk.eu) provides documented ASN, IPv4, and IPv6 resource service paths for eligible applicants without requiring them to operate their own RIPE NCC LIR account.

Who We Are

Shikanoko Networks is a registered LIR (Local Internet Registry) with RIPE NCC. We provide ASN sponsorship, IPv4 leasing, and IPv6 resource services for businesses and individual network operators that need their own routing identity without managing a full RIPE NCC membership.

As a one-person UK-based company, we keep our operations lean and our prices transparent. Every order is handled personally from start to finish.

Operational network

SKNK operates AS219361 and provides ASN, IPv4, and IPv6 resource services. AS219361 publicly originates the IPv6 prefix 2a0a:87c0::/48; network identity, routing security, verification sources, and operational contacts are documented on our network information page.

What We Provide

We provide RIPE NCC LIR sponsorship for ASN requests, IPv4 leasing, and IPv6 Provider Aggregatable (PA) /48 allocation, including preparation and submission of related applications, plus the registry work explicitly covered by each written Order.

RIPE NCC operates the RIPE Database. Customers maintain their own Access, organisation, contact, and maintainer records; SKNK provides setup guidance, handles the sponsoring-LIR side of application and resource-registration coordination, and maintains the covered PA prefix's IRR route/route6 object. AS-SET follows the actual filtering need and available maintainer authority.

Because IPv6 PA /48 prefixes come from Provider Aggregatable address space held by SKNK's LIR, RPKI authority for those resources is controlled by SKNK. SKNK creates, maintains, and withdraws the associated Route Origin Authorizations (ROAs). Customers have a right to use the prefix, but do not directly hold the RIPE NCC resource certificate and therefore cannot independently manage its ROA in the RIPE NCC Portal. Contact SKNK before changing the intended origin ASN.

The standard service boundary covers sponsorship, application coordination, and the published resource-side records. BGP configuration, managed routing, peering implementation, DNS management, and 24/7 managed network support can be added only through an explicit written Order with defined responsibilities.
