Shikanoko Networks (also known as SKNK, at sknk.eu) provides a documented sponsorship path for eligible organizations that need an ASN and IPv6 PA /48 without operating their own RIPE NCC LIR account.

Who We Are

Shikanoko Networks is a registered LIR (Local Internet Registry) with RIPE NCC. We specialize in ASN sponsorship and IPv6 resource allocation for businesses that need their own routing identity but don't want to manage a full RIPE NCC membership.

What We Provide

We provide RIPE NCC LIR sponsorship for ASN assignment and IPv6 Provider Aggregatable (PA) /48 allocation, including preparation and submission of the related RIPE NCC application.

Because IPv6 PA /48 prefixes come from Provider Aggregatable address space held by SKNK's LIR, RPKI authority for those resources is controlled by SKNK. SKNK creates, maintains, and withdraws the associated Route Origin Authorizations (ROAs). Customers have a right to use the prefix, but do not directly hold the RIPE NCC resource certificate and therefore cannot independently manage its ROA in the RIPE NCC Portal.

We do not provide BGP configuration, routing operations, IRR management, peering implementation, DNS management, or 24/7 managed network support.
